La Mangeoire is one of our most popular cottages at Domaine de Rochebonne. It takes its name from what it was before its renovation: the manger for the horses that once lived here. Today, it's a cottage for 4 people, perfect for a family with children or two couples — and our guests often give it 5 stars.

The cottage consists of a living room with sofa area and satellite TV, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, complete crockery to prepare everything on site), two bedrooms and a bathroom. The first bedroom has a king-size bed (180 cm), the second has two single beds (90 cm) – ideal for children or friends sharing. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage and in the outdoor areas.

Outside, your private garden awaits you with its terrace, garden furniture, and barbecue. It's one of the spots on the estate where you can hear the birds in the morning and dine al fresco in the summer without being disturbed.

Domaine de Rochebonne is our family home turned holiday estate. We welcome a maximum of 9 families at a time, in a walled park of 13,000 m² entirely without cars. The communal heated swimming pool is open 24/7 from May 1st to October 1st — and since there are only a few of us, it's very often empty in the mornings and early afternoons when everyone heads off to the beaches or the Île d'Oléron. Children also have a wooden fort, a sandbox, swings, a badminton net, a football pitch, and a pétanque court. Pets are welcome (supplement of €15 per stay).

Practical information: the bakery and butcher shop in the village of Saint-Just-Luzac are 800m and 1.4km away on foot. The nearest beaches are a 10-minute drive away (Marennes, perfect for toddlers). The bridge to Île d'Oléron is 8 km away, Royan is 24 km away, and La Rochelle is 55 km away. You will be personally welcomed upon arrival, given a tour, and remain available throughout your stay should you need anything.
